The most difficult task as a writer is having to apologize to readers when things go wrong, especially for those events out of my control. I gave B&N and Amazon the files for A Covent Garden Mystery last Thursday, thinking they'd both have it live for sale by June 30. (The process, in theory, takes 24-48 hours).
Well, here it is Monday morning, 8/1, and no book. I can only say I have no idea why--I've received no communication explaining the delay; my account in both places simply says the book is "processing." I can only think that they're backlogged and will put it live sooner or later.
Please continue to check B&N or Amazon (as you prefer) this week. Believe me, I check it every hour! (My husband is a very patient man.)
I will post here, on my website, FB, twitter (@GardnerAuthor), and send out my newsletter as soon as the book is up. You can join my yahoo newsletter at (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/gardnermysteries/ ) or send me an email to join my email list (gardnermysteries @ cox.net [no spaces])
Meanwhile the book is available on Smashwords: http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/77179 in multiple formats if you don't wish to wait.
This is the first title in this series that has had such a problem, so I'm not sure what's going on.
Again, my apologies.

Thank you so much for taking the time to keep your readers updated. I so enjoy your Captain Lacey stories, and look forward to Covent Garden. It is so nice to read intelligent, lively, and witty regency entertainment. What you write, I WILL read! P Tupper
Ah, I was wondering what was going on... However, I am happy to report that I have just downloaded "A Covent Garden Mystery" from Amazon!
Thank you so much for making your books available in eBook format - and as well for continuing the series! Can't wait for the new books to come!
